What difference has devolution made to planning in the United Kingdom?
In addition to the generic assessment criteria for undergraduate modules, for the essay you will need to show evidence of an understanding of the principles of planning and the wider governance context within which it sits, and demonstrate that a logical argument is formed and debated with reference to case studies and literature. The ability to demonstrate critical thinking, an awareness of academic debate, and the clarity of your written expression will also be important.
The essay should be a maximum of 1,500 words in length, excluding the reference list. Please ensure the main text of your essay is font size 12 and either one-and-a-half or double-spaced. Diagrams, pictures and tables should be correctly labelled and all sources correctly attributed. The essay should be referenced using the Harvard referencing system (author, date) and must demonstrate evidence of reading around the topic. The use of wholly web based material is unacceptable.
