This movie is an adoption or translation of the classic novel The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald’s. The movie’s main theme focuses on the opulence of the late twenties. Much of the story is told from Nick Carraway’s point of view who happened to be a neighbor of Jay Gatsby. The movie’s plot revolves around the wild lifestyle of Gatsby who lived in a big palatial mansion and regularly held wild parties. Many of the parties that are regularly held in Gatsby’s mansion are decadent and the people who attend them are of questionable characters. With time, Nick comes to know his mysterious neighbor better and learns his love relation with his cousin Daisy. Unfortunately, Daisy happens to be married to Tom Buchanan who is a rich philanderer. This love triangle that ensues draws in Nick into this murky and mysterious life of Gatsby.
