Part 2 – Observations and Paper

Schedule your visits and document your observations of the different cultures you encounter.

Compile your observations and experiences into a summary paper. Your analysis should be

introspective of your experience, describing its impact on your perspectives and worldview/faith.

Your visits must be within the duration of this course.

  1. Attend and observe the 3 approved cultural environments compiled from Part 1:

Observation Location List.

Note: As a guest to your selected environments, remember to behave in a

respectful manner, refraining from making judgements. Document your

experiences: Use your five senses. Your notes will assist you when writing your

observation paper.

  1. Following each cultural environment visit, write an observation paper elaborating on your

experience. Make sure to discuss:

 Where you went

 The culture that you observed

 Your thoughts and feelings about your experience

 How the experience has impacted your worldview/faith.

  1. When constructing your paper, be conscientious to use or reference psychology terms

and/or principals where needed.

 Attend and observe 3 approved cultural environments

 Reflection paper describing observations and experiences of cultures encountered from

selected locations

 Specific formatting – APA formatting
