The aim of the study:
To critically analyse how SERVQUAL theory can be used to develop and enhance medical tourism within Arabic countries, by developing a framework which identifies the critical service quality factors in an Arabic context using a case study of Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) in Qatar.
The Research answering the following questions:
1. What are the service quality gaps in Medical Tourism in Qatar?
2. Who is the customer and what are the implications of service quality?
3. What are the implications of different cultural context for the SERVQUAL method?
The research study is divided into three phases in order to collect the primary data. This application is for phase one where semi-structured interviews will be conducted with key personnel in the Qatar government health, finance, and tourism sectors. The data from the semi-structured interviews will help in designing the questionnaires and interviews
