Case Assignment

In a 5-8 page paper (not including the title and references page),

conduct research on an organization in a country other than the

country where you live. Make sure the organization has been in

business for 5 years or more and one in which you can find a

considerable amount of information about on the Internet and library

sources (e.g., magazines, external research, etc.). In your paper,

address the following about your organization:

Compare and contrast the differences between the organization

in the domestic and global location

Influence of culture within the organization (e.g., Wal-Mart had

to offer a stool for their employees to sit on while working in

Germany, some cultures need longer breaks, etc.). Find out as

much as you can about any cultural differences an HRM must

consider in the organization.

Discuss the type of organizational structure and how you

determined the structure

Explain the staffing strategies associated with the organization

and explain if you believe the staffing strategy is the best for

the organization. If not, explain the staffing strategy you would

implement as an HRM.

Describe the staffing strategy used within the organization.
