Questions to be answered in the methods section: How is the DV operationalized? are any of the materials used to create different levels of your IV? if so, how should that be done? what stimuli (such as a video tape) will be used? how does the stimuli differ between conditions? Are the levels of the IV between subjects or within?
The main written product for the lab course is a research proposal for a study you would like to conduct in the lab. The proposal topic will be developed in consultation with lab members whose research you are working on (as well as the professor). The proposal will consist of an Introduction, a Method section, and a statement of Hypotheses. A draft of each of these sections will be due during the semester so you can get feedback to integrate into your final version.
