p>Write a 6-8 page essay critiquing/investigating a contemporary moral issue ? analyzing the subject from a philosophical perspective. You must include scholarly quotes from either the authors that we have read in class (Aristotle, Mill, etc.) or secondary (credible) sources (i.e., journal articles or books). You may use any of the articles contained in the course packet as scholarly sources.
In the end, the essay must include analytical/critical reflections on whether or not mankind is universally bound by an objective moral code and why. The essay must critique the articles/topics ? providing objections, points/counter-points, and analytical comments throughout, all the while incorporating appropriate references/quotes to support the position.
Consider:
What are the foundations for our beliefs in the morality of actions? What are the reasons for why we are obliged to obey them? In other words, what are the normative sources for ethical actions? Discuss, critique, and analyze the reasoning behind the ideas.
