The midterm paper should be an overview of the history of wind energy. Focus on wind energy that has been used in human history, and address how the technology has changed the concepts and practices in physical and social sciences.
Note that a primary energy source is different from an energy carrier, or a conversion technology, or a type of energy service.
Hand in 5 references that you could use for your paper. At least 3 of them should be from scientific journals; other good sources might be government reports, web pages, magazines and newspapers, and books. References must be complete. Format them in APA format. Look up APA format online for more information.
Please write a specific kind of outline utilizing topic sentences. Include the topic sentence of each paragraph that would be in your full paper (of at least 5 pages), and add brief notes about the content that would be in the paragraph after its topic sentence. The outline should also include a concise, informative title (“Midterm Paper” is not an informative title.) Choose your title to include the most important key words in the paper.
This outline is likely to be less than one full page (12 pt font, 1 inch margins)
Note that we will NOT be actually writing the paper based on the outline, so you must make the outline excellent and complete!
A URL from a science database (such as ScienceDirect) is NOT a correct reference; references must actually refer to the original source you are using, and contain all the pertinent information, such as authors, date, title, name of journal, etc.
Wikipedia can be a good starting point to search for supporting evidence for your paper. Nevertheless, your paper should NOT cite Wikipedia as a reference. Instead, if you started with Wikipedia, go to the references linked in the Footnote sections of Wikipedia pages, and build from there. Remember, Wikipedia articles reflect the viewpoints and biases of the people who wrote them, so you must assess the evidence for yourself. Also, please utilize online databases.
