Question 1
One of the central topics in our course has been the question of what type of geopolitical order is in the pipeline for the future. Analyze the ˜unipolarity’ that has followed the end of the Cold war. Then explore the arguments in favor of the existence of a trend of relative decline in US hegemony and, contextually, the rise of emerging powers, in particular China.

Then proceed to criticize the historical determinism embodied in the various theories that predict a cycle of world power and the inevitable change of leadership in the future. On the basis on the information provided throughout the course answer the following questions:
· What are the limits of emerging powers?
· What is the strength of Western Powers (US and EU in particular)?
· Finally, more importantly, what are the tasks placed on the actors of global politics in order to ˜manage globalization’?
