The Discourse Analysis component of the assignment asks you make a specific argument about the rhetorical strategies of the discourse community you’re working with: how do these stakeholders and audiences talk about the issue at hand? What presuppositions do they use? What kinds of appeals prove most effective? Where does the stasis lie? What kinds of questions are they asking?
