Describe an example of your leadership experience in which you have positively influenced others, helped resolve disputes, or contributed to group efforts over time.

This is an essay for college applications. I need it to show not tell.
This is the prompt: Describe an example of your leadership experience in which you have positively influenced others, helped resolve disputes, or contributed to group efforts over time.

Here are a few options you can develop on.
1. I organized an ART SHOW and organized a video from a field trip to an ART Museum. You can add on to this story, this took place in Kinshasa, Congo. Keep the setting constant.
2. In Girls Scout, we were given a task where we have to use a compass to navigate ourselves out of a forest. I took things into my hands and assembled a team and started working my way through the forest with the help of the compass.
3.
4. Varsity Basketball. I am a basketball player. I have always been the one to make sure my team is not ripping apart the opponent after a game. We won 1st Place in the tournament hosted at TASOK.
5. Student Ambassador: This club gave students power and freedom to lead and organize various school events. I really enjoyed designing the shirts for this club. Being a Student Ambassador meant that you were everywhere and part of everything. I had the power and liberty to work with different people.
6. I was the secretary for the SLC (Service Learning Club) I loved working with the Kimbondo Orphanage kids. We organized various activities for the kids. I was in charge of making sure everything is going smoothly. This was an experience I will never forget.

Things to consider:
Another thing to think about is avoiding the pitfall of being generic, so think outside the box. Leadership can be the dynamic between just two people, and does not need to involve a formal position of leadership. You can be a leader in a conversation with your family members, with someone older than you, etc.
This prompt could also quite easily provoke bragging; avoid this because it not only paints a distasteful picture of you but also because it doesn’t answer the question.
