Imagine that you are an instructor in an academic setting who is preparing professionals for entry-level practice. You have been tasked with developing curriculum for a new program of study that addresses current and/or future trends in health care delivery. An example of a program of study may be developing curriculum for a course on end-of-life care at a BSN college of nursing. It is important that this new program of study is consistent with the school’s mission and philosophy, the beliefs and values of faculty, and both current and future trends in nursing.
