SECTION 2: Conduct an equity analysis of sport within Australian society through the media.
Choose two consecutive days (including at least one weekend day) to conduct a review of sporting media coverage using four separate media sources as follows:
1) a broadsheet (For example Courier Mail, Australian)
2) a tabloid (For example local paper, Herald, Guardian, Sun)
3) a televised / internet sports report from a commercial network (For example Win, Seven, Ten)
4) a televised/internet sports report from an editorially independent national public broadcaster (for example ABC, BBC)

For each media source identify, compare and contrast the following:
- The amount of space / time / coverage devoted to the demographic indicators of gender, race , class, age and able bodied based sports
- Language used
- Content and context of references to personal life, attire, appearance, skilfulness, personality, training regime
Discuss if the images of minority sporting groups different in any way from those of the dominant group in society? Suggest reasons to support your findings. How might your findings influence and inform your current and future practices within the Sport, Health and Physical Education industry?
