Columbus’ Voyage

In the opening chapter of his book, Roger Daniels argues that Christopher Columbus was œa man who, when he started, didn’t know where he was going, when he arrived[,]

didn’t know where he was, and when he returned, didn’t know where he had been. However, Columbus œplanted the first permanent European colony in the New World (page

15). Do a thorough search about the circumstances of his first trans-Atlantic voyage (August 3 “ October 12, 1492).  Study at least two of the recommended sources (as

listed below). Take good notes. Then summarize your findings. In a concise informative essay, refer to the sources.
