This research paper serves to offer an overview of Facebook’s operations and to suggest e-commerce strategies and changes on how it can improve in three areas: 1) privacy policy, 2) online marketing, and 3) revenue models. These three topics will be one third (1/3) part of a larger comparative analysis to Twitter and Snapchat by two other authors who are researching these companies (outline attached). Page one should be a general overview of Facebook’s history and current status as a company. Each of the three (3) topics should be described in two pages per topic, covering the specific features of how it functions and suggestions on how it could be improved in terms of e-commerce. The 8th and final page should outline how Facebook, Twitter, and Snapchat compare/contrast concerning their respective 1) privacy policies, 2) online marketing approach, and 3) revenue models that could be easily converted to bullet points. Please avoid the use of the word “therefore” when making conclusive statements. Also, please minimize discussion of the current, evolving climate in the news concerning Facebook’s privacy controversy, but instead discuss its vulnerabilities and user perception.
