Real World “Deep Dive”
This option allows you to do a “deep dive” on a leadership topic of your choice. In this class, we will have discussed various leadership topics (including motivation, hiring, ethics, etc.), and we will have touched on many topics that we did not have time to fully address. My hope is that some of these topics have been particularly relevant to your current business activities, and that this assignment will allow you to select a topic and pursue it with greater rigor and application than was allowed within the constraints of our class. Here are some guidelines for this paper:
• It should include at least four to six cited sources, indicating that your writing derives from a thoughtful review of literature on your topic.
• The paper is ideally “part research / part application”, in that you will take what you learn from your studied sources, and use the length of the paper for an in-depth discussion on this topic and how it applies to your current business situation.
• As with all things in our class, you should emphasize the practical application of your knowledge. This will require that you produce a “product” of your research. Prepare a business plan, a set of guidelines, a framework or other tool that you will be able to use in your business activities.
This paper should be no longer than 10 pages, double-spaced (figures, tables, and references are not included in the page limit).
The application part I would like to took about myself, recently I have been assigned to be a team for analysts, so it’s good to talk about the motivation techniques that I can use to motivate them specially the salary and the bonuses (money compensation) most of the times it’s out of my hands.
i have mentioned its 13 pages because and its mention in the instructions the resources , tables, charts will not included in the paper count , so i give a space for the appendix
