I attend the university of Houston in downtown since 2017. I decided to take online classes due to working full-time. I’ve never taken it any online class before. All the professors that I’ve taken they’ve been Great. They respond to every email and concern. I had a great advisor that Guide me to the right direction. Justin always replied to my emails when I had any concerns about the BSIS program. I moved to Texas to continue my education. After I complete my BSIS degree, I am going to apply for the Occupational therapy program at TWU. I enjoy helping people as a child, I grew up witnessing several different people in my family going through rehabilitation and the progress they have been making with therapy. However, it was about five years ago, when I was faced with a personal burden and passion for occupational therapy through observing my cousin of the same age, who survived from a motor vehicle accident, resulting with a spinal cord injury. His MVA brought upon a different outlook on life for him and myself. After days and months of watching him struggle with performing the simplest tasks in life that we take granted for, it opened my eyes to understand that it only takes a second for one’s life to change drastically from being independent to completely dependent in daily activities. His progress in rehabilitation helped me understand the importance of therapy and recovery. And through this incident, I also took upon a special interest to explore more about occupational therapy and to pursue a degree in it. My interest in learning about the human body began to blossom over the years. I was very passionate and eager to learn more about the mechanics of how beautifully and well equipped we are made.
