In this paper, you will write 4-5 pages in support of an argument of your own devising based on a point of comparison between two texts that are separated by at least 100 years. You may choose to use two texts from our course reading, or you may use one text from our course reading and another text (or film, song, etc.) of your own choosing. Your argument must make a claim about the significance of some point of connection between the texts you have chosen to work with. The body of the essay must support that argument with careful analysis of quoted evidence from the texts.
