Campus Improvement Plan
The intern will be an official/unofficial member of either or both the District/Campus Improvement Planning teams. An understanding of the District/Campus accountability, vision and planning process will be accomplished. The intern will gain understanding of the associated leadership responsibilities in these processes.
Required Activities and Journal Entry
Write a short paper, two to three pages not including the title page, that will include the following information:
Interview questions and responses to the person responsible for developing the campus improvement plan (CIP) to determine the process for development, writing and presenting the plan (CIT and District Plans)
Discuss in your paper how data is reviewed and used to drive needs assessment for planning and improving student performance.
Become an official or unofficial Campus Improvement Team (CIT) member and reflect on these meetings in your paper, i.e. who leads the meetings, who takes notes; are minutes shared with general faculty, and any other information that you would like to share.
Analyze your campus benchmarks, STAAR, and TAPR Reports and discuss how those reports are linked to the Campus Improvement Plan in your paper. I work at Clark Intermediate Elementary in Spring ISD.
