**I am a freshman male and still a little superficial, not a deep thinker. If I was watching this movie for the heck of it I was not impressed, it seemed like a kids cartoon movie-like a Disney movie that I would not have paid to see.But because this is for a paper I actually had to watch it twice to even decipher any metaphors. This is what I came up with: Chiriro is a 10 year old brat. Shes whiney and a cry baby. But as the movie progress I saw a different person. She actually matured into a courageous, fearless, compassionate, loving, caring, and selfless person. Her struggles made her stronger, and she didn’t back down when faced with tremendous odds. When Yababa steals her name and renames her Sen it’s kinda like her childish ways were stolen and trapped she then turned into a mature girl and reclaimed her name with new strength and character. When she started to work in the bath house she realized how difficult and tiresome it was.it was a tireless thankless job. I still did not like the movie)*****
