Play a leading role in determining the appropriate organisational response when legal action on the part of a worker or employee is anticipated, threatened or taken. Assessment Brief Develop a 3000 word written assignment to address the following: The Board of your organisation has asked you, as the HR Director to critically evaluate your HR policies, considering how policy reflects current legislation regarding the rights of the individual within the employment relationship; and supports good practice. Your evaluation should include consideration of the following: • Contractual T & C’s • Pay and reward • Recruitment and Selection (Including promotion) • Training and development • Performance Management (including capability) • Discipline and dismissal • Managing exits • The working environment (including equality, Health and Safety grievance, harassment etc.) • Communication and involvement Identify key points of risk, and make your recommendations for future mitigation, using the pillars of law to justify your recommendations.
