This last writing assignment assesses the accomplishment of the study announced in the research proposal (Module 1) and carried out in the annotated bibliography (Module 2), critique essay (Module 3), and literature review (Module 4). Based on a thesis statement that condenses the conclusions drawn from the study of the research question, the two-to-three page essay explains how the other components of the study (this course) contribute to providing answers to the research question. It reiterates the rationale, scope, limitation, and relevance of the research topic within an academic discipline. It concludes by explaining how the project’s findings pointed, if so, to more studies of the topic.
