Tasks that need to be completed
In order to be organized, it is important to open a word document and save it as ‘your name, paper 2’ and write everything related to the paper in this document.
Here is what needs to be done from today till the end of semester:
- Decide on a research focus (spelling or grammar?)
- Write the research question.
- Your teacher will give you two articles on the topic. Start finding other articles. Read and make notes.
- From the articles, make notes on what kinds of errors Arab students make, and why they make those errors.
- Use your notes for four of these articles and start writing a literature review.
- Your teacher will give you a list of the spelling and grammar errors that have been made until today by you and your classmates (no student names will be given). Start analyzing these errors.
- Categorize these errors. These categories will form your Findings section in the paper.
- Write about how these findings answer your research question.
- Think about why it’s important to do research on spelling/grammar errors. These ideas will form your conclusion.
- Keep your reference list updated as you read new articles.
