Why I Am Who I Am
I am a woman. I am one of many strong , independent , Latina women. I was raised that loyalty, love , trust , and family get you a long way in life. Growing up my father was not much of the religious type. He believed that if you lived a commendable life good would come to you.
It was I who had to search for a relationship with the Lord. I had to learn him and understand his story to cherish him. Soon , after this I learned that there was so much more to life then the morals I was taught as a child. There was a purpose for my being and the next step was to discover my calling.
My grandmother was very influential to me as a child. She was the head women figure in the family. She was the wife , mother , sister , and grandmother you prospered to be. A lot of who I am and my beliefs are based off of hers. Now that I am an adult I can notice that I have mimicked both the prime and tainted values , beliefs , and perceptions of my grandmother.
My grandmother was big on investing all of herself in others and leaving nothing for herself. This is what brung upon all her praise. I grew up to believe that a women that didnât do so was less than. She selflessly invested herself into others hoping she’d get a blessing later on in life. Unfortunately , I took onto this tainted perception of what my grandmother thought a women was. This left me isolated , spiritless , and unhappy. I learned this is a mistaken way to live life. You can not help others to their full potential until you have bettered yourself. You can not give to others what you do not have such as knowledge , resources , finical , and happiness.
Having the realization that I needed tranquility in my life meant changing my perception , values, and beliefs on certain things in life. I would now take over my views. My beliefs are now revolved around my life experiences.
My greatest experience in life was child birth and the delivering of my son.It is my responsibility to raise a little boy to be spectacular and for that I will invest anything needed. Understanding , that I can only get my son further in life by pushing myself and making certain sacrifices. Meaning staying focused with a positive attitude to preserve.
My values , beliefs , and perceptions are now matured . I believe that Lord has created a calling for everyone that they must discover. This should be a persons first priority for âJesus gave his life for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live ( Galatians 1:4 ).â Giving your all into others and leaving nothing for yourself makes this impossible to achieve.
I believe you should do onto others as you would want to be treated. That you should surround yourself with individuals that have the same goals and aspirations as you in life. Give your best but never your all. Continue to search for improvement in life and ways to better yourself. Everyone , should be treated equally wether it be based on race , sexual preference , gender , etc. I value love , relationships , and God. I perceive right to be right and wrong to be wrong.
