Select three modern genetic advances which have increased knowledge. for each advances you will need to research and identify a range of ethical issues which may be raised.( 300 words max each)
Suitable examples of genetic advances to choose from include genetically modified food, stem cell technology, cloning, ownership of and treatment with genetic material such as sperm banks, in vitro fertilization and ˜test tube babies/ designer babies/ pre-selection of the sex of offspring, eugenics, genetic screening for disease and pre-natal treatment/ testing and issues around health insurance, surrogate motherhood, gene probes (invasive and non invasive) and genetic finger printing.
