Budget

BudgetIn this module/week, you will learn about the 2 major elements in describing the budget components within a Grant Proposal: the budget narrative and the itemized budget summary. The project description provides the picture of your proposal in words. The budget further refines that picture with numbers. A well-crafted budget adds greatly to the proposal reviewer’s understanding of your project. The budget for your proposal may be as simple as a one-page statement of projected expenses. Or your proposal may require a more complex presentation, perhaps a spreadsheet including projected support and revenue and notes explaining various items of expense or revenue. The most important point is also the most obvious, the budget should be aligned with your objectives.
